Real/Fake Science: An Interactive Experiment Salon

  • Acme Studio 63 North 3rd Street Brooklyn, NY, 11249 United States (map)

Six presenters—some scientists and some charlatans. Six topics—some fabricated and some factual. Can you sort the fact from fiction?

At this one-of-a-kind interactive mystery science event at Brooklyn's zany ACME Studio, guests are invited to navigate all sorts of uncertainties. Greeted by knowledgeable presenters hailing from a range of scientific disciplines, you'll be regaled with tales of real and fake science. But will you be able to tell the difference and distinguish the scientists from the actors?

Participants at the event will compete for the distinction of Most Discerning on a lineup of topics ranging from the evolutionary basis of human mating rituals to new advances in space technology. Be prepared to listen closely as your smartphones and internet gadgets stay stowed away.

Your ticket price will also include samples of Curious Elixirs, a new line of booze-free cocktails. Real cocktails, inspired by classic Science Fair experiments, will be offered at the cash bar as well.

Come join us in testing your own scientific radar!
